Dr. Paula Siitonen is a scientist, lecturer, facilitator and entrepreneur, interested in enriching dynamics in complex environments. She helps individuals, groups and organizations to release diversity and hidden talents in us all, and co-create innovations, sustainable benefits and wellbeing. Paula teaches creative cooperation, communication, facilitation, participation and dispute resolution at Aalto University Department of Design. Her research centres on the development and use of participatory decision and systems analytic approaches, creative cooperation, and species dynamics in complex environments. She has directed a broad range of research projects funded by industries, the Academy of Finland and other funding agencies. She has worked as a researcher in Systems Analysis Laboratory at Aalto University and for ten years as a scientist and senior scientist in Finnish Environment Institute. She holds visiting lectures, courses and executive trainings. Paula is a founder and co-founder of two companies. In addition to Finland, she has worked in particular in Brazil, East Africa and West Balkans. She holds a Ph.D. in ecology and MSc in geography, and explores new ways to enhance creativity and sustainability on the edges of the art and science.
Teaching: Creative Teamwork, Participatory Methods and Facilitation Skills.
