NODUS Seminar Otaniemi Exclusive with special guest Prof. Terry Irwin from Carnegie Mellon University

The event is organized by NODUS Sustainable Design Research Group of Aalto University, bringing together researchers and practitioners on topics relevant to design, innovation and sustainability.

TERRY IRWIN is a professor and former Head of the School of Design at Carnegie Mellon University. In May she stepped down to launch a new “CMU Institute for Transition Design” that will focus on research, teaching and collaboration with colleagues in other universities working in the area of designing for transition.

İDİL GAZİULUSOY is Assistant Professor of Sustainable Design at the Aalto School of Art, Design and Architecture and leader of NODUS Sustainable Design Research Group. Idil is an expert in design for sustainability transitions particularly focusing on business transformation and urban transitions to address climate change.

SAMPSA HYYSALO is professor of co-design at the Aalto School of Art, Design and Architecture. Sampsa’s research interests are in codesign and user involvement in innovation and sociotechnical change.

ELİF ÖZTEKİN is doing her doctoral studies in NODUS Sustainable Design Research Group at Aalto University Department of Design. She inquires into community-led eco-settlements and their learning networks.
