The Test Site Harvest

As part of the Test Site Building Day on the 29th of September, students gathered to harvest the last of the produce from the permaculture garden. It was amazing to see how many vegetables (especially tomatoes!) were still left. The wonderful summer weather combined with compost kindly donated by HSY meant the garden grew in abundance. We harvested various varieties of tomato, spinach, kale, courgette, a few beans and rocket seeds. Most of the produce we aim to eat but some was kept to take seeds from ready for next year.
