The Nordic City Challenge 2018 will be arranged in Copenhagen, Denmark in October 7th-10th 2018. The application can be made here: APPLICATION FORM. The form opens on Monday the 12th of March and closes on Tuesday the 15th of May.
Nordic City Challenge 2018, 3 ECTS
The Nordic City Challenge is an intensive three-day course and competition focusing on multidisciplinary and practical urban planning and collaboration. The course brings together students, teachers, professors, practitioners and other leading experts from the Nordic countries to share ideas and work together on a real-life planning case, taking on the challenge of developing sustainable cities. The concept involves networking with other Nordic young experts in sustainable urban planning.
The course will be held mostly at the Schaffergården in Gentofte, Copenhagen, Denmark. The course will be free of charge for the students attending and we will also cover the travel expenses to the course venue.
About the Nordic City Challenge
The challenge will be arranged every autumn during 2016-2018, each time in a different Nordic country. The students accepted to the course have diverse backgrounds, such as planning, design, architecture, landscape architecture, urban ecology, sociology, environmental-/ water engineering, and urban and human geography. The course is academically grounded and planned together with qualified teachers and researchers from the field.
