NODUS Talks – Tiny Houses: Fair Living?

NODUS TALKS series is organised by NODUS Sustainable Design Research Group of Aalto University, bringing together. researchers and practitioners on topics relevant to design, innovation and sustainability. Presentations will be followed by a panel discussion, both held in English.

PHILIP HECTOR is a doctoral candidate in the NODUS research group at Aalto University, focusing on material activism such as sites for DIY and repair activities. His talk will focus on developments enabling the tiny house movement, as well as their manifestations and claims.

PETRI KANGASSALO is a landscape architect and coordinator of urban environmental organization at Dodo’s urban planning group. He will talk about their tiny house project, Helsinki Design Week tiny house fair & Pasila rail yard vision where tiny houses are an important theme.
