The environment needs protection. The economy needs new solutions. The Baltic Sea needs both.
To combine protection with development, we’re introducing DEEP – a unique two-track challenge aiming to create sustainable business from the Baltic Sea.
Organised by Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke), Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE), Finnish Water Forum and Helsinki Think Company, DEEP is now calling for applications for two different challenges:
TRACK 1: SUSTAINABILITY.
Application is open for teams with ideas to create SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS FROM THE BALTIC SEA. Think of solutions for a cleaner Baltic Sea, marine food / non-food production or added value.
TRACK 2: POLICY.
Apply as an individual to join a team to REFORM THE POLICIES TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS. All you need is a passion for environmental policies.
DEEP will support your team with tailored mentoring from dedicated content matter experts. The earlier you apply, the more time you will have to benefit from the mentors’ support. The goal of the challenge is that all promising teams will walk away with the right contacts and tools to make a true impact.
The challenge is open for all – researchers, students, entrepreneurs and other enthusiasts. Find out more and apply: http://thinkcompany.fi/
Submit your application by January 29, 2018.
