NODUS talks event series is organized by NODUS Design for Sustainability Research Group of Aalto University, bringing together researchers and practitioners on topics relevant to design, innovation and sustainability.
Presentations will be followed by a panel discussion and refreshments. Note: The talks will be held in English.
NODUS Talks #1 : ENERGY CITIZENS + OPEN KNOWLEDGE
Sampsa Hyysalo is Associate Professor in Co-Design at Aalto University with a research focus on longitudinal studies of designer-user relations in technology projects. His talk examines the Internet based peer-to-peer discussion forums on heat pumps and how they have helped the diffusion of this technology.
Lilli Linkola is a sustainability expert advocating circular economy, renewable energies and open knowledge. Having worked on projects for Sitra, the Green Building Council and the City of Helsinki, she will consider the role of open data in the energy transition in her talk.
