CS students participating in evaluating sustainability reports of Finnish companies 2016

Corporate Responsibility Reporting Competition 2016 (Vastuullisuusraportti) was the 21st annual Corporate Responsibility Reporting Competition since 1996. The competition aims to examine the current state of sustainability reporting as well as to encourage organizations and business sectors to report on their share in sustainability.

In the 2016 Competition, 146 reports from Finnish companies and organization were evaluated and Stora Enso’s CSR Report won the first prize that was also the choice of media and students as the best report of the year.
Corporate Responsibility Reporting Competition 2016 consisted of five categories: biodiversity, climate change, human rights, taxation and corporate responsibility for management of remuneration.

As researchers from Aalto University, School of Business have been involved in the competition, Mika Kuisma (Dr.Econ.) was the representative of Aalto Business School. The competition included 22 students as jury to evaluate sustainability reports of Finnish companies.
Two Creative Sustainability students, Hanna Kim and Melina Pinomaa were among the student jury team.

The final event of the Corporate Responsibility Reporting Competition 2016 was held in Säätytalo in Helsinki, 22.11.2016.
